I'm using an iRig on a pc. Does that matter? it shows on my mixer that it is picking up my strumming but I do not hear the guitar through my headphones. I have my Blue Nessi mic set up as well and I can hear myself through there. And when I am strumming my guitar I have the iRig active and have it set as my second input on my mixer. Any tips/ advice would be greatly appreciated!

How do you do patch recording? meaning, if I messed up on the second half of a riff, how do I continue recording in that area where I messed up without deleting the rest of my take that was perfect?

    Hi everyone,
I have a XENYX1622 USB which I plug in to the computer,
the problem is : when I go to Audio settings-->show ASIO panel, I have "Realtek HD Audio Mic input, stereo input, HDA SPIDF Out and HD Audio output", but no LINE anywhere... Same thing when I go to the "audio input source" in the MIXER, I have Audio Mic, Stereo, etc but still no "LINE" input... Any help ?
Thanks a lot to anybody willing to help !

I use pretty much the same set up, but after a few minutes the sound starts getting distorted, then the distortion starts to get louder and louder till it drowns out the music. Nothing I do makes it go away, and when I think I solved it, its just quieter and embedded in the recording. Anyone have a solution? PS. Solid video man! Didn't know about the duel tracking. You have a good voice for doing voice over stuff like this

I would love to see you doing a very similar video with a more acoustic drumbeat and a not so roomy guitar sound, a acoustic for example.

I have a question. I'm trying to record my guitar while recording over another guitar recording I just recorded to make several different guitar parts, but every time I do it creates interference and the effects from hardcore are not only being applied to my live guitar, but also to the recording as well. My question would be, how do I record my guitar with the effects WITHOUT the previously recorded guitar part picking up the effects too?

Hey man, I had a similar question as Scarlet Osu!
Do you think it would be a better idea to use usb? I think I may need to since I use the headphone jack for my studios headphones since I do no have monitors. Also are there any videos on hooking up the guitar to the laptop/desktop and then connecting it to fl studios? I have zero experience on recording guitar into Fl studios, besides what I've watched here.
