It seems like all the good hardware synths and controllers are being given new leases of life through software these days. Not only in the form of firmware updates, but dedicated software editors.

This new MicroKorg MIDI Editor is the latest to continue this trend and we’re told is the “first VST- PlugIn Editor /Controller for the legendary Synth “MicroKorg”.” But that’s not all. It’s also a remote and sound editor that provides easy access to all the main parameters on the MicroKorg synth. It allows you to automate the parameteres and store these in your DAW’s project.

You can select patches from the MiroKorg and the XY pad can be mapped to any control too.

MicroKorg MIDI Editor is available as a VST and standalone for PC 32/64 Bit and for Mac as VST, AU and Standalone for less than €6. We think this might be a first for the Korg MicroKorg synthesizer and vocoder.
