Hey guys , I'm currently trying to compose an orchestral/dubstep song.
I've started building up the orchestral parts but my ram is currently at 5gb usage.
What am I doing wrong? I've got only 6 channels all Kontakt with vsts such as Giant , Albion and Voxos. Are those the reason my RAM usage is that high? Can someone help me please?
I've got an i5 3570 and 8gigs of RAM I thought those would suffice :P

man this macro decreases my CPU from around 80-99 on playback back to 2% :D and I am working on a very big project where you couldn't even playback the drop anymore because of CPU overload. Thanks a lot for this tip!

i have upgraded to 32 gb of ram to stop my big projects from crashing but thats all it is, the cpu is the processor i still have to upgrade to hexa i7 chip with a really good high speed audio interface i rather not say cause there is only one left and im trying to save up for it :) but yeah guys if you have a really good processor like atleast i7 and 32gb of ram and a soundcard over 400 bucks youll be able to do much more creatively and youll get better in production cause that crashing and lagging glitch wont stop your inspiration

FL Stuido just sucks your CPU dry. I don't have the same problems at all with Ableton Live.
