FL Studio tutorial: How to to do-make sidechain compression (Best Method!) This is the way i do sidechain compression for my house, dance, trance songs.

    You don't even need to make the ghost track, you can just side chain directly from the kick with the method you're using.

    Good video!!!

    You could short cut the ghost kick step and sidechain straight to the kick playing. This will also make sure your cut is an exact fit for the kick drum, particularly if you eq, which would make the original and ghost different.....

    This method is good and the cleanest I've noticed, only thing I don't like is if you attach reverb to the track that the kick is sidechained to, it still plays the reverb sidechained from the kick when the synth or whatever else is not even playing, does anyone know how to stop this? Other than an automation ?

    you said that i wouldnt be able to hear the "ghost kick" but when i mute all tracks but the ghost kick and the instrument, i can hear it. it overlays with my other kick pattern and now the kick is too loud, am I doing it right?? plz help. lol

    How is this a ghost kick? I did this in my own project and the ghost kick is just playing at normal volume. If I lower the fader or patternvolume the limiter doesn't sidechain anymore. Am I doing something wrong?

    Just sounds like u put reverb on the kick
