how do you do the last part when the sidechain starts on the fruity peak controller on FL Studio 12? It looks different and I'm confused

Someone answer this, please lol. Whenever I sidechain something(before I add effects), the output increases. Meaning, if I were to solo the channels I sent it to, the volume is lower, than when I add the sidechain channel. How do I sidechain without actually affecting the original sound, BEFORE I add the plugins, so that i'm only affecting the other channels, and not just the side-chaining channel. I thought the point of it was so that you could edit multiple channels at a time, but what's the point if the edits are just put in that channel, and mixed with the original sound of the other channels?... i'm confused lol

i feel like it shouldn't take this long to set up a freaking sidechain effect!  can you not slap a compressor on a track and have it just sidechain from whatever source you want?

this method did not work for me because it turns out only one channel's volume or threshold at a time could be linked to the controller

Why do all these sidechain tutorials suck? I don't have a saw, the main instrument is pianos in my song so I followed your instructions exactly and got no sidechaining...

I already knew how to do this, good tutorial though.
One question though, the input signal on the peak controller is inconsistent and slowly fades out after 2 bars or so. Any idea on how to fix this?
