    Please Help....hi i am using FL 12 I
want to slice one of my vocals...So i sang, i hit record all good..but
now i want to slice one of my vocals because i want to add a different
effect to part of my vocals. Ok i used the knife tool. I sliced it all
good i moved the sliced vocal to another track just moved it down, but
its still part of the same vocal why? I use a vocal fx and it puts it on
all my vocals even if i sliced it. How can i cut this vocal and use
independent vocal fx individually....I hope you understand me...please
    help..thank you...

Is it possible to record vocals using FL Studio while hearing an effect on my voice, but not have the effect be permanent on the actual wave file? I've been trying, but everytime the effects permanent with the wave, I just want to hear the effects for recording because it helps me execute better. Help is appreciated.

Why can I not select ASIO for my audio input/output? It is not an option for me, All that shows up for me is Primary sound driver, Speakers, Headphones, and Digital Audio, please help me with this if you know a solution, thanks.

When I record on fl studio the beat bleeds into the vocal recording. How do I stop that?  it's not coming from the headphones...

I got FL Studio 11 from scratch with no exp whatsoever. I've played the guitar for like 4 or 5 years in a group everyday when I was a bit younger so I got the basics of music down. I used to play eJay on the PS2 when it came out! but Fl studio is just extremely more complex, but after 1 week I already know how to edit every single sound and have it the way I want it. I might ruin your day by saying so but I just did all this cos I need a trap beat :D still workin on it though.

I couldn't have said it better!..While i teach with compassion, I think you have to tell people the truth now and then..Let's face it, if you REALLY want to learn something , you will go to all lengths to learn it...That is the ideal student I am looking to help

Well, thats why you'll stay at your level and never improve. You have no will or ambition. If you dont know what ASIO (Audio Stream Input/Output) drivers are, why dont you look it up on the internet? its basically just writing GOOGLE DOT COM and afterwards typing in the search box the words "ASIO Drivers". Do you expect that everybody massages licks and lubes your asshole before you get fucked? boy you r in the wrong world. Man up!

Just a question.. the dude said he needs to turn off his monitor in order to record because if not the monitor beelds back into the mic. I get that the vents of the different PC components make a lot of noise, but wtf does the monitor?

What has better better quality, recording directly into FL studio or using Edison? Every time I record vocals I get this hiss sound bleeding through and it's from my computer fan, I am also getting alot of air and echo in the vocals. I use an Audio Technica at2020 USB mic, the quality is pretty good, but I have the input gain around 5 in the Windows audio control panel. Should I have the gain cranked up more? What bit depth should I record in? and how is Latency involved?

There are check boxes next to each choice..Turn them off..When on they will look orange or dark yellow (depends on your monitor)

Do just pull the sliders all the way to the left to turn them off or is there a check box somewhere I'm not seeing?

Was not able to make follow up vid, building a music school in Texas. Besides the buffer, turn off the polling, hardware buffer and 32 bit buffer in the Audio Settings under the Options tab. This should improve latency issues. One Love

You need and external fire wire soundcard..There are also some settings you can adjust in FL Studio other than the buffer to improve on the latency issues. I'll address in my next video..Feel free to subscribe if you are not already

The mic plugs in with firewire or do you mean an external soundcard? Also my CPU is an i7 and I'm running 12gb of ram.
